How can an application manager authorize Microsoft 365 for a user

Before you can authorize users, the basic connection with Microsoft 365 must be created with the Microsoft 365 administrator account. Click here for more information about setting up the connection.

If you want to authorize the email account of another user (e.g. for the administration department user), you can do this via the Users Newbase module. You will need the login details of the relevant email account.

1. ​Authorize user by the application manager​

  1. Go to the Newbase Users module and select the user in question
  2. Within the user's summary screen, click on the edit pencil
  3. Click on the Microsoft 365 tab and go to the Microsoft 365 link widget. Within this widget, click on the authorize button
  4. Now select the relevant email account and use the login details for 365 of that account > if the authorization was successful, you will see the screen below and you can return to Newbase
