Within a sales order you can see whether there is stock of the product you have linked to the order.
You can see this within the 'selected line sales stock' widget.
First select the line for which you want to see the stock and then look in this widget.
Please note:
if you change the number in the line, the number in this widget will not change. This therefore shows the value of the moment the document was created.
