1. Normal process (without drop shipment) sales order > purchase order:
If you duplicate a sales order to a purchase order, the delivery address is the default address of your own delivery address/warehouse (default address set to company).
2. Sales order check mark dropshipment:
If it concerns a drop shipment, select the 'drop shipment' checkbox within the relevant sales order
As soon as you duplicate this sales order to a purchase order, this setting is transferred to the purchase order so that it is clear that the goods must be delivered directly to the contact/organization and therefore not delivered to you (company address).
Within the sales order there are 3 different widgets relating to 'delivery address' on which a drop shipment checkbox can be enabled. Below are the 3 widgets where you can enable the drop shipment checkbox. If you do not have a widget for drop shipment, you can ask your internal application manager to distribute one.
3. Drop shipment purchase order:
- Duplicate the relevant sales order via the next step icon to a purchase order
- Because the drop shipment check box is enabled on the sales order, you will see this message within the purchase order:
Delivery address <> origin (drop shipment)
This means: the delivery address differs from the address of the sales order - The delivery address on the purchase order is currently still the address of your own warehouse/organization
- You will have to manually change the delivery address to that of the customer by clicking on the change icon of the widget and opening the pop-up below:
- Now click on the arrow icon for 'delivery address origin'. This refers to the customer's address linked to the sales order
- The address of the relationship/organization is then transferred and the message disappears.
