Listview editor - create your own list - add standard lists

MJA Updated by MJA

Newbase has one or more pre-programmed lists for each module. These lists can be used to display a set of records in a specific way.

A list is not a search function. You search for records yourself, and you can use lists to display them in a desired way.

You can find the various lists by clicking the three dots to the right of List 'module name'. A pop-up will open with the distributed lists. A list can also be grouped. Click here for more information.

These lists might not provide the information you're looking for. You can use the list view editor to create your own lists, delete lists, or browse the available default lists.

1. How do you open de listview editor?

  1. Search for records within a module and make sure you're in the list
  2. Then click on the 3 dots (...) to the right of the list, see example below
  3. A menu opens where you can choose listview editor
  4. A pop-up opens where you can put together your own list, adjust an existing list of look at the available standard lists

2. Create a new list

  1. Click the green "New List View" button to create a completely new list. A line will appear where you can give the list a title and specify which role or company will have access to it. Checking the "Default" checkbox will display the list as the default list view when you search for records within the relevant module.
  2. You can now either manually add all the fields one by one using the green "Add Field" button, or first click the purple "Import default List View" button. This will import all the fields from the standard list view and allow you to customize them, which may be less work than adding everything field by field.
  3. Clicking "Add Field" will open a pop-up with a list of modules from which you can add fields. Click a module open, find the field you want to add, and click the icon on the right. Repeat this action until all the desired fields are in the list. You can also search for fields using the "Filter" function. You can also adjust the sorting of the columns if necessary.

3. Editing an existing list:

  1. Select an existing list to edit it by adding fields using the "Add Field" button or by removing existing fields by clicking the trash can icon after the line.
You can change the order of the columns in the list using sorting and adjust the column width if desired.
  2. Click "Save." To activate the list, you need to restart Newbase.

4. Available standard list views

  1. Click the "Available standard list views" button.
  2. A list of available lists will open. Click the download icon to add the list.
  3. You can, of course, edit this list to your liking.
