1. General information
If a product becomes a stock product after the product has previously been linked to a document, the product will still be considered not to be a stock product on those 'existing' documents. When duplicating a document, where the product was not originally a stock product, the settings that applied when the product was linked are adopted.
In order to link a stock location to a product, this location must exist. You can read how to create a stock location here
You can set Newbase so that the default stock location of the company is automatically linked to the product when creating a new product. The steps below do not need to be done in this case. This is set within the company settings (application manager).
2. Manually link stock location to a product
If the default stock location of the company is not automatically linked when a product is created, you will have to link it manually.
- You can link the location to a product within the product via the 'stock locations' widget
- Click on the plus icon to link a new location
- The popup below opens where you can choose a location but also enter in which shelf the product is located
