Sending emails / messages in a series / batch

1. Sending multiple messages (series / batch)

  1. Make sure you are in a list view of the messages you want to send in one go
  2. Click on the 3 dots to open the menu and choose 'send in batch'
  3. At the top right of your screen, a message will appear briefly that a task has been created to send the messages. And a number will appear at the top right of the 'bell' icon. The number is the number of alerts that are in the alert center
  4. If you click on the 'bell' icon you can see that the messages are being prepared to be sent and you will receive a notification when this is ready
While sending the messages you can just do something else in Newbase!
  1. When the messages are finished sending, another task is added in the alert center stating that the task has been completed. Check if the number of messages sent matches the number in the previous task. If the number does not match, you can check which messages were not sent and investigate why
  2. Once the messages have been sent, you will also receive an email that the task has been completed
  3. Now if you go back to the list of messages you will see that all messages have been given a send date and the 'unsent icon' has disappeared

2. Messages sent in a series get special marking

If a message is sent in a series, the message gets a special marking that the message is part of a series. Messages that have this marking cannot be sent again unless you remove this marking.

Within the home screen of messages you can also search for messages that have the status 'batch'. See below for the standard search action that you can add to the home screen of the module message.
