How to create a contact report

You can create a new contact report in Newbase in several ways:

Creation via the Contact Reports program:

  • Go to the contact reports program and click on new

Creation from another program:

  • Go to the relevant program (e.g. contacts) and click within the widget 'activity log' on the paperclip icon and choose 'contact report'

Either way a screen will open where you can create the contact report.

​General information about contact reports

If the contact report is created from document to which a contact is linked, the contact or project is automatically linked.

The user's name is automatically linked to the contact report. It is possible to link another user to the report.

The creation date and time are automatically shown upon creation and can be adjusted manually.

The field type is a value list from which a choice can be made. This list can be modified/created by the application manager.

Internal mail:

By clicking on the 'envelope' in the report field, an internal mail can be sent with the details of the contact report. For example, you can point out to a colleague that he/she has to call someone back. There is a limitation of approximately 2000 characters that the contact report may contain when creating a mail in the e-mail package. If the text is longer, the alternative is to copy the content and paste it into an email.
