Create RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization)

You can create an RMA in Newbase. You need access to the RMA module for this. If you don't have access, please contact your internal application administrator.

An RMA becomes a negative issue, and the products are therefore added to inventory (manual action).

1. You can create an RMA in two ways:

Via the RMA module > New (with this option, you must link the contact, customer, products, and sales order yourself, if desired)

OR

Via a sales order or service project component > Duplicate to RMA. This action transfers all lines from the sales order. Remove the lines that don't apply AND make the quantities negative.

2. Returning products to inventory? Duplicate RMA to issue.

  1. In this case, the product in question must already be in stock
  2. Make sure the quantities on the RMA are negative
  3. Duplicate the RMA to a specific issue
  4. When the issue is locked, the products will be added to the inventory

3. Do you need a credit note for the RMA?

  1. Make sure the quantities on the RMA are negative
  2. Duplicate the RMA to a credit note
  3. Process the credit note as usual
