Explanation of user checkboxes

MJA Updated by MJA

The Newbase subscription is based on the number of registred users, so make sure to deactivate users if they no longer work with Newbase to avoid additional subscription costs. If users are in Newbase for another reason, read on.

Within the Newbase Users module, you can specify various options in the "user checkboxes" widget.

Blocked: If a user logs in three times with an incorrect password, they will automatically be blocked. The user can be unblocked here.

Only allowed to log in only to the time app: If this checkbox is selected, the user cannot log in to Newbase. However, they can log in to the Newbase time app to log time. This does not count towards the regular subscription but is a special rate.

Inactive: If a user is no longer working or is not allowed to log in, select this checkbox. This does not count towards the subscription.

Planning user: If a user is not allowed to log in to Newbase and is only used for scheduling tasks, check this box. This includes calendars, appointments, and PCA. This does not count towards your subscription.

Newbase Appl. Manager: Check this box for the internal Newbase application manager. If this box is checked, you will be able to edit widgets within a different role without having to log in as that role. This check box does count towards your subscription.

Correspondence User: You can create a department user in Newbase. This user will not log in, but will only be used to send emails. For example: administration department. Within the user card, you can then link the email address and create a custom email ending. This does not count towards your subscription.

External User: If a user does not log in to Newbase themselves, but you want to be able to link the user to a document, such as a quote.
