Setting up file storage via Google Drive

Within Newbase, a PDF document is created as soon as a message is created from a document. This PDF needs to be stored somewhere. To facilitate this, Newbase can link to your Google Workspace > Google Drive.

For every Newbase module, you need to configure where the documents of that module are stored.

Linking Newbase with Google is only possible with a paid account! At minimum, Business Starter.
Newbase cannot help with the setup of your Google Drive.
Newbase cannot be linked with a free Google Account.
Before Newbase can be linked to your Google account, Newbase must first be placed on the Google 'white list'. Continue reading in chapter 1.
Newbase can only link to 1 Google environment. If you work with multiple companies in Newbase, the files of these companies must be stored within 1 and the same Google environment.
It is necessary that all Newbase users have access to the folders in Google and also have the rights to create or modify new documents. If you work with multiple companies within Newbase, the paths must be configured per company.
If you work with multiple companies in Newbase, you need to perform this setup for each company.

1. White list Newbase

To establish the connection, the Newbase application must first be placed on the white list within your Google account.

Below describes how to do this. This is a one-time setting within the overarching Google account (so you don't do this per user).

  1. Go to https://admin.google.com/ac/owl
  2. Choose "Manage access to third-party apps"
  3. Choose "Configure new app"
  4. Choose "Name or OAuth app client"
  5. In the field "Name or client ID of OAuth app" paste the link below: 345626065006-rcqqnfhg3vjkht709ask8p9h8l7srkv4.apps.googleusercontent.com
  6. Click Search
  7. Select Newbase
  8. In the "Client ID" field, tick the checkboxes > select
  9. Now you'll reach "App access"
  10. In this screen, tick the checkbox next to "trust access to all Google services" > configure

2. Configuration of server paths in Newbase

  1. The IDs of the created folders still need to be placed in Newbase.
  1. See folder examples below.
Newbase is not responsible for the setup and settings in Google.
